SPM Add Math - RM230 per month
PMR Math - RM190 per month
The rates above are 2 hrs/class and 8 classes a month.
For travel to student's location 1 to 1 tuition in Kota Kinabalu - RM25/hour.
2. Average 3 classes per chapter
- 1st class - learning and understanding the Math techniques.
- 2nd class - Practice how to present a good workings step-by-step and answer.
- 3 rd class - practice standard SPM questions.
3. Differentiation, Integration, Vector, Trigonometry, Probability Distribution required 4 classes/chapter.
4. Each Form 4 and Form 5 syllabus require min. 5 months to finish.
5. Students who less than 40 marks will be start from beginning 1st chapter: function.
6. From my experience, student who score B or A from PMR and take A-Maths in Form 4:-
Scenario 1: After finish PMR on Oct and start tuition A-Maths on Nov when Form 3, complete Form 4 syllabus on Mar or April when Form 4.
Scenario 2: Student failed the mid year exam Form 4, start tuition (from 1st chapter) on
- July F4, catch up for year end exam.
- Sep F4, however catch for mid year exam F5.
(Note: the 2 scenario above are for those 1to1 tuition)
Most common mistake made by students are:
- Careless calculation mistake
- Not enough time to finish the questions.
- Understand what the question want, but dont know how to present a good workings.
- Dont understand the purpose of using the math technique.
The point is we learning maths to understanding math techniques and the purpose of using it. And not just to memorize the formula to sit for exam. A good examples are what is the real definition of pi for circle and what is the purpose of using standard deviation instead of variance and why SD is the best for measure of dispersion.
